Nope. I hired a well-known local contractor who has been in bidniss
for well over thirty years hereabouts. Whom he hires is Not my
concern.

I did check out the employer, though. The OCCB report is Excellent as
is the BBB, though that operates more out of Portland than it does out
of Salem.
Best I can do. I'm about paying the contractor/employer what he
charges for the work -- which has involved Something Unexpected, as
most of these sorts of things do sooner or later.

I am responsible for paying the bill to the contractor. The
contractor ios responsible for vetting whomever he hires. I have no
legal standing to have any part of that conversation.
As I said -- I am not an INS or an ICE agent. Those folks are
professionals charged with doing their job. SFAIC they may do it with
