"Hunger Report Shows More Are Suffering"

Nearly 700,000 children in the United States went hungry sometime in
2007, and close to one in eight Americans struggled to feed themselves
adequately even before this year's sharp economic downtown, the
Agriculture Department reported Monday.

The department's annual report on food security showed that during
2007 the number of children who suffered a substantial disruption in
the amount of food they typically eat was more than 50 percent above
the 430,000 in 2006 and the largest figure since 716,000 in 1998.

Overall, the 36.2 million adults and children who struggled with
hunger during the year was up slightly from 35.5 million in 2006. That
was 12.2 percent of Americans who didn't have the money or assistance
to get enough food to maintain active, healthy lives.

Almost a third of those, 11.9 million adults and children, went hungry
at some point. That figure has grown by more than 40 percent since
2000.

The government says these people suffered a substantial disruption in
their food supply at some point and classifies them as having "very
low food security." Until the government rewrote its definitions two
years ago, this group was described as having "food insecurity with
hunger."

Meat causes one to be fat and meat with fat and bovine hormone causes
cancer.

Milk shipped in plastic containers has the second most highest cancer
causing carcinogen leeching into the milk, Dioxin. It's the oily residue
that sweats out of ALL plastic. It's fat soluble and 'is' the leading factor
in breast cancer today.

Cut out meats and any packaged (MSG is in all prepackaged food, it causes
cravings and obesity) foods shipped in plastic. And by all means, do not
microwave your food on plastic dishes!

Sure is......It's because healthy food is too expensive for them to
afford.

It's more about education over ignorance. Getting away from prepared foods
'is' the key. One must commitment ones self not to eat prepared foods. After
that it's a matter of planning. Meat is expensive so eat the cheapest,
turkey. Low in fat but goes with everything.

Perceived time limitations in preparing ones own food is another obstacle.
We live for the moment so if it's not in a box, in the microwave and on the
table in 20 minutes most people whine, "no fay'yuh".

Quote:
The difference in price between white meat and dark meat chicken at the

I love eating darky Wink......

Just like
Quote:
hotels will take advantage and raise prices during peak season. Also the
average IQ of a poor person is lower on average, so ignorance plays a
large
part. Fatty foods have more taste than lean foods.

It's the MSG.

When WWII was over the generals on both sides got together. American
generals axed the Japanese why their rations tasted so good, they said it
was the MSG, which mimics the bodies own glutamate. It makes anything taste
good. The problem 'is' it tastes to good and people aren't satisfied until
the body is stuffed and can't take any more.

MSG IS NOT A PRESERVATIVE!!!

Feeding rats MSG is a sure way to make them obese, it works every time. Look
it up.

Wanna loose weight? Kick the MSG habit. It's tuff though, every friggin
packaged food product has it. It goes by many names; artificial flavoring,
starches, dehydrated vegetable oil...

The FDA does not regulate it because it's been marketed as a preservative.

Axe me about Fluoride, it makes people the way gubment wants, ignorant.
Donald Rumsfield owns the patient. Fluoride is the by product of aluminum
smelting. Rummy bought it and sold it to the FDA as a cavity fighter when it
had already been denied. Rummy has contacts don'tcha know. It doesn't fight
cavities, it causes lethargic brain damage, Melatonin helps to counter the
effects.

That's the lesson for the day.

Edumacate yoo selves

I think you are unaware that dark chicken meat is preferred more and is

just as healthy as the white meat.

You just proved my point. Those ignorant of nutrition and preferring taste
and bargains will eat the cheaper dark meat. White meat has less fat and
therefore is healthier to consume. What is desired more will cost more.
This is the basic tenet to capitalism. Taking financial advantage of
consumers when a product is more desired by the masses. If dark meat is
desired more, raise the prices. If white meat is desired more, raise the
prices. If more people are looking for a hotel room, take advantage of
those poor dumb fuckers and raise the prices. If the president and vice
president and other lawmakers are heavily invested in the oil industry,
raise the prices. Getting ready to leave office? Better lower the prices
to reduce the risk of an criminal investigation into price manipulation
after transition takes place.

Those ignorant of basic economics will continue to perpetuate lies
backed by their own lazy habits. Conspiracies always make more sense
to you?

Got (Genetically Engineered) Milk?
The Monsanto rBGH/BST Milk Wars Handbook
Dr. Samuel Epstein
rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone), is a genetically engineered (GE)
potent variant of the natural growth hormone produced by cows. Manufactured
by Monsanto, it is sold to dairy farmers under the trade name POSILAC.
Injection of this GE hormone forces cows to increase their milk production
by about 10%. Monsanto and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) insist
that rBGH milk is indistinguishable from natural milk and safe to cows and
consumers. However:

* rBGH makes cows sick. Monsanto has been forced to admit to about 20
veterinary health risks on its Posilac label including mastitis and udder
inflammation.
* rBGH milk is contaminated by pus from mastitis induced by rBGH, and
antibiotics used to treat the mastitis.
* rBGH milk is contaminated by the GE hormone which can be absorbed through
the gut and induce immunological effects.
* rBGH milk is chemically and nutritionally very different from natural
milk.
* rBGH milk is supercharged with high levels of a natural growth factor
(IGF-1), excess levels of which have been incriminated as major causes of
breast, colon, and prostate cancers.
* rBGH factory farms pose a major threat to the viability of small dairy
farms. Thus, rBGH
enriches Monsanto while posing risks but no benefits to the entire U.S.
population.
