The Democrats seem to have found the perfect strategy to replace free
markets with government control. Their game plan is now clear: to move
incrementally but inexorably from capitalism (free markets) to
socialism (government control of economic activity). [at the expense
of your freedom]

Republicans vs. Democrats is a sham. Both are owned outright by the
same people. I've lived long enough and been awake long enough to
know that no significant change takes place on change of
administrations. We are led in the direction of destruction or our
economy, our liberty, and our national sovereignty by both parties.
We have only one ruling party in the United States, and that party has
run the country from FDR to GWB. I tried to show some of the power
they have in my americasenemies blog. There is a lot of info there,
and unless you have an attention span greater than a gnat's, I don't
recommend you read it.

That's what we were told the Federal Reserve was created for and it
was followed by the longest depression in this country's history. The
regulations and controls that were then installed kept us in that
depression until WWII pulled us out.
There are many people who complain that Big Business controls the
government and I agree. What I don't agree with is their proposed
solution. They usually suggest that the answer is to give Congress
more power to control Big Business. Their logic escapes me. If Big
Business controls the government and you give more power to
government, aren't you giving more power to Big Business to destroy
all competition and thereby channel all wealth and power into their
hands? That's exactly what I've seen happening all of my adult life.
Jefferson had the answer 200 years ago. Take away the power of the
banks to issue money. Put it back into the hands of Congress and the
people where it belongs. A good source of the history of bank
manipulation is Yamaguchy.netfirms.com. The site has a large
collection of ebooks on money and banking written at a time when the
banks were forced to seek charter renewal every 10 to 20 years. This
brought the issue into the public eye. The Federal Reserve Act gave
them control in virtual perpetuity and since then, the banks have slid
from under the vision of the average American.

Do you count the international petroleum cartel OPEC as an example of free
markets? what about the cartel of major lending investment-banks that just
extorted hundreds of billions of dollars from the US? do they represent
free markets? and is trade-competition between slaves (as in China) and
free labor a free market? and was it the Democrats who engineered and have
championed and champion all of the above?
Bonus question: Is plutocracy capitalism or vice-versa?

The enemies of capitalism on both left and right quite deliberately
confound it with plutocracy (well, OK, a lot of the dolts on both sides
have probably never thought about differentiating the two).

It's been that way for 30 years now in the Family Kourts. When you get
divorced, you automatically come under full government control and they take
60% of your wages with no accountability on how it is used.
All single Fathers and divorced Dads are now second class citizens and the
government does what it pleases with you.
We have committed no crime, but we are forced to pay a large fine every

No. All you do then is make them buy more Congressmen. The power
will still reside in Washington under the watchful eye of the
corporate lobbyists. Giving control to the people is not as easy as
you make it sound.

Nothing wrong that isn't the result of Republican deregulation? Good
one! I laughed so hard my ribs hurt.
Ignore what happened before 1973? Unfortunately, that's the way most
people feel. No matter how painful. No matter the economic privation
they may endure, they seem to think it's easier to repeat history than
learn from it.
